It's what you want a tamper to be: BIG and HEAVY. As you can see in the picture it has a nice long handle and a large heavy head. If you want a light pocket sized tamper, don't buy this one.Customer Review: not a good choice

It's supposed to have a 2" diam, but is way narrow for my Gaggia.
