I wish I had read the other review before I bought this item. The listing is very deceptive on all of these strainer products as they indicate the length of the item (who cares!?!) rather than the diameter of the strainer. Needless to say I am not a happy puppy! I wanted an 11" strainer and got a 5" strainer! How disappointing!

Available in seven different sizes, Cuisipro?s hand strainer features sturdy construction and a fine mesh basket. Made of 18/10 stainless steel, the dishwasher-safe piece ably blanches vegetables, sifts flour, or filters out unwanted seeds and material during canning. Its oval-shaped handle resembles a heavyweight wire folded in the middle. It offers length to keep hands cool plus the convenience of hanging storage. Measuring 11 inches from end to end with a basket diameter of 5 inches, the strainer?s compact size works well for smaller tasks or petite portions.
