Please do not waste your money on this. I had an old pizzelle maker that was my mothers (over 50 years old) and I or my mother never once had a problem with it. I thought that I would like to get a coated one (easier to clean) so I ordered the Cuisinart. Keep in mind that I only make pizzelles on holidays and during the second year, the latch broke off (which is plastic and should not be). Since I had a 3 year warranty, my husband called them. They said that we would have to pay $10 for them to send us a new one and another $10 to send the old one back. We were furious! Then I called another rep there and she waived the first $10 fee, but we still had to pay to send the broken one back. I will never again buy anything from Cuisinart. If you want a pizzelle maker, make sure that it has a metal latch, not a cheap plastic one.Customer Review: quick and painless

I couldn't wait to purchase a pizzelle maker.. I remember as a kid my Nonna ( grandmother) cooking with the pizzelle iron on the stove.. Boy did that take forever to get them just right..and if you were not careful a nice burn on your arm reminded u how hot it was... after reading reviews and I love Cuisinart products.. I have the waffle maker and the handheld mixer... I purchased the pizzelle maker.. I first coat it with vegetable oil using a papertowel and then plugged it in.. the light tells u when it is ready.. I use settings 2 or 3... even the very first one came out perfect.. I used the recipe in the book... I then used my grandmother's recipe both came out perfect... the spoon is kind of small but it was the appropriate size for the pizzelle... the best part is they cook fast!!! I waited a long time to get one of these pizzelles and I wanted a Cuisinart one. I have had it for 9 months and it was great. I wanted to make several batches for Christmas and the latch on the pizzelle broke right off!. I have called the company and emailed them several times and they wont get back to me. I also noticed on their site that the only parts available for the WM-PZ2 is the dowel and the plastic spoon! So ..now I know why they wont get back to me.......and there was a warranty but I guess I can throw that out the window along with this machine. Please....when you buy one, pick a product that has a parts department and you can get all of the parts for the item. I have purchased many of the Cuisinart products but will now purchase the other brands instead.Customer Review: Quick and easy

I just tried my new Cuisinart Pizzelle Maker and it was very easy to use. I followed the directions exactly except I didn't brush the grills with oil or anything before I used it and it was great! Nothing sticks. It was kind of hard to judge in the beginning just how much batter to put on the grills but you'll bet the hang of it real quick. I love the small size of this little maker and how quickly it makes the cookies. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I'm not very happy with how cheaply they made the latch to close the lid. I was extra cautious when using it because I read another viewer who complained that it broke right off. I can see this happening if you're not extremely careful. I love this little appliance! It's compact & does a fantastic job of making crisp little cookies. I've used it several times since I purchased it and it makes a batch of delightful cookies in no time at all. I had my husband make a small wooden cone shaped roller that I use when making these cookies. When the cookie comes off the grill, I quickly put it on the roller & roll it into a cone shape. When cooled I fill each with whipped cream....YUMMMMY! I'm very pleased with this appliance and would highly recommend it to anyone who is in doubt about purchasing it. It is small and stores in very little space. It heats quickly and there is virtually no clean up....one of my favorite features. I have absolutely no complaints about it.
