Customer Review: At last - A real toaster "OVEN"

At first I was sadden when my "not too old" DeLonghi toaster oven bit the dust. Consumer Reports listed the Cuisinart TOP-175BC as top notch and recommended by the most consumers. I have to agree. I use this appliance all the time. I am down to a family of 3 now and unless I have food that doesn't fit this oven, I rarely use my oven any more. I did roast a 4lb. chicken and it was great. I bake my own flatbread pizzas in this oven and they come out better than in a regular oven. Frenchfries are better; the toast and bagels are terrific. So, now I am happy my other TOB broke. Also, I do like that this has the convection feature too and I know I am saving a lot of electricity. I am amazed at how fast the oven comes up to the temperature I want. I find that it doesn't take a lot of counter space either and the glass door and interior are exceptionally easy to keep clean. The brushed stainless doesn't show fingerprints. I love this oven so much I just purchased another one as a gift for my dear sister as a thank you to her. This is the best. I highly recommend it.Customer Review: Glad I bought it

We've only had this toaster about a week, but so far it's been great. It does a good job toasting, although it takes a higher "darkness" setting than I would have expected to get bread that is browned. I like the fact that it sets the timer so that you know how long your toast will take and when it is almost done. That was an unexpected and great feature. The smooth control panel is great too - no knobs to wipe around like on my old Black & Decker. This toaster also has a removable crumb tray which is soooo much better than my old B&D. I can't believe it took me so long to realize there was something better out there. I do wish it was removable from the front, but that is a minor issue.
I have also used the broiler function and that did a great job. I haven't baked with or without the convection oven yet.
The only disappointment so far is that I was planning to use its timer as a second timer when the big oven's timer is already in use. Can't do that - the timer only works when the appliance is in use.
Customer Review: DON'T LIKE CRUMB TRAY OPENING AT THE BACK

I received this toater oven yesterday. It is replacing an old Krups that I have had for several years and was great. The Cuisinart looks good but I was trying to figure out how to get the crumb tray out and then realized that it comes out from the back, which means I have to unplug it (it has a very short cord, another minus, and I can't turn it around without taking out the cord). It is quite heavy and awkward to turn the whole thing around to remove the crumb tray. On my old Krups, the tray came out very easily from the front. And I always used to clean it at least every other day. If bread crumbs are left in there, they tend to burn and give off that burning smell when you cook something in it again. I think I will return this toaster oven and get the Krups comparable model instead. It's a shame because it looks very good on my countertop and cooked some frozen mini pizzas perfectly today. But I don't think I can handle the crumb tray having to be removed from the back.Customer Review: An excellent product!

I purchased this as a holiday gift for my wife and I and I have been using this convection oven daily. This oven is very easy to keep clean, there is a removable tray at the bottom so crumbs can be easily discarded. The interior is non stick. You get a stainless pan, drip tray and rack and all are dishwasher safe. I have used all three functions including convection, bake and toaster. I am pleased with all three especially the convection feature. The instruction booklet was a bit scant especially with recipes but I am sure you can find some at the Cuisinart website. Although I have used this less than a month, I have been pleased with the performance of this product and the ability to cook with the different features offered. I also got the best price through Amazon. If you are going to use the toast feature put the rack in the middle as this will prevent burning. Would I recommend this to family & friends absolutely, Would I purchase this product again, Yes!Customer Review: Poor Toasting

Despite the reviews I read about this product and being a proud owner of an older Cuisinart Convection Oven, I order this product with high expections. To our dismay, the first oven we received did not produce equally browed toast - the top side always seemed to be darker than the botton regardless of how the tray was situated. We decided to return the oven and the replacement produced the same results - unequal browning when toasting. My conversations with Cuisinart were not helpful and the representative I spoke with instructed me to return the oven again for a replacement, however Amazon has since informed me that they will not allow another replacement since there may be a wider spread issue. So, it looks like I will be returning this oven for a refund and looking for a replacement from another manufacturer. While others mention issues with toasting, I wish my experience was as positive as the other reviews I read and with my previous Cuisinart Toaster oven.
