This is a great little machine. It's a step up for me from a coffee grinder I had been using to grind my flax, almonds, pumpkin seeds, etc. It quiet enough, strong enough for the almonds, and does the flax well. I tried grinding licorice slivers I get from chinatown to make tea but they kept jamming up the blades. I use it everyday for bout two months now. This is just what we were looking for. In the past we always had trouble grinding spices the way we needed, for use on especially small tough seeds like Coriander. This grinder does the trick. It is not too big, so you can do small quantities and you can easily control the grinding so you don't overdo it. We really like it. I had enormous trouble finding a grinder that is robust enough to grind brazil and cashew nuts for my breakfast and had no success with products available in UK. This model is perfect - easy to use, very quick and cleans well. It does require a converter plug to UK from USA to be usable here.The blade and motor are both strong and handle the nuts effortlessly.it is compact and easy to store.Customer Review: Does so much more than just spices!!!!!

I love this little cutie!!! I bought this to grind star anise but I have yet to even use it for that, it has so many uses!!!!!! I have made my own tahini by grinding sesame seeds in it; it grinds up nuts, cookies for garnishes, anything that you want to do in small amounts and don't want to drag out your food processor or do manually with a mortar and pestle!!! Ordered this item New, but when I received it, there were specs of some red spice powder so it was obviously used. Didn't want to go through the hassle of returning it, so ended up keeping it. Does a good job but if you want fine powder from nuts, it will not do this. The grinder stopped working after 1 week (burnt wire smell). Amazon has a good return policy so ended up returning it.
