Customer Review: Comparing Kitchen Aid ice cream Attachment & Cuisinart Machine

Just to compare for folks out their who are deciding between the Kitchen Aid ice cream attachment and this machine...I have both...I got this cuisinart model as an early mother's day gift:) after having the kitchen aid for about a year. They both do the exact same thing. You have a canister that you have to freeze, then put your chilled ingredients in, add the agitator arm and turn it on! They both make about the same amount of noise and the consistancy is the same after 25 minutes of stirring in a side by side test. Unless you like soft serve ice cream you will have to re-freeze the contents to get it more like an ice cream consistancy. Finally I would recommend this machine highly unless you already have a Kitchen Aid mixer. If you do I would recommend getting the kitchen aid ice cream attachment if you want to take up less room on your counter. Buy the Ben & Jerry's cook book...it is awesome! Happy ice cream making!
