Basically, this grill/griddle works okay although it heats up more on the outside than the inside (bacon cooks quicker on the outside). Less mess cooking bacon with this appliance than on cooktop. The major problem is that when you lift the lid, the grease runs down the back of the appliance and gets the cord, the back of the grill, the counter, and the base of the grill greasy. I still like it but the grease drip problem needs to be addressed. We are never able to get this device totally grease free.
