My old Cuisinart finally broke apart so I got this new one. I read lots of reviews before purchasing. I have found only good and better things about my new model. Maybe having used a Cuisinart for so long made it easier for me to handle the locking mechanism than someone who is new to Cuisinart. The work bowl is bigger than my old one and it makes bread mixing much easier. The feed tube is bigger, too, and makes adding ingredients much more comfortable for me. The machine is heavier and more substancial than my old one. I'm so glad to have this new addition to my cook's kitchen!Customer Review: What a time saver

This powerful Cuisinart 14 cup food processor allows our family to choose more interesting, healthier, and more nutritious meals. This powerful machine makes short and easy work out of chopping and mixing.
Like many machines, there is a learning curve. The user has to accommodate its limitations. For instance, as other reviewers have mentioned. liquids can be a problem since the lid does not seal tightly. With careful sequencing of ingredients or judicious pulsing, it will work fine.
This is a great machine especially for big jobs.

If you are the type of person who believes,as Tim Taylor of Tool Time does, More Power is better. This is the food processor for you. The Cusinart 14BC would probably take a steady diet if tree branches without complaint. This unit needs a dedicated place on the counter top. After moveing this a few times from a storeage cabinet I relented. It could also double as a great boat anchor. Take care handling the chopper blade and disks, they are very sharp. If you need to process copius amounts of food at once this is your machine. I love mine!Customer Review: A very good addition to your kitchen

This is a wonderful piece of kitchen equipment. It's easy to use, the dvd that comes with it is helpful for the basics. So far I've used it to chop onions, grate cheese and shred potatoes, all of which took seconds. Very nice to be able to put everything in the dishwasher too. We can't wait to try scalloping potatoes next.
Tip, when grating cheese, cut pieces as long as possible. The last end of the piece will never grate, so you don't want to be left with several end pieces that you have to cut yourself.

The Cuisinart food processor I purchased as a gift for my brother and sister-in-law is a wonderful help in the kitchen. Our whole family were together visiting my brother during the Thanksgiving weekend. Everyone helped cook the holiday dinner, and the Cusinart was being used constantly--to make the turkey stuffing, the red cabbage, the corn pudding, the salads, the mashed potatoes, the piecrusts etc, etc. It is so easy to use and certainly saves a lot of time in cooking. The 14-cup model is especially suitable for quantity cooking.
