Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Cuisinart DFP-14BCN 14-Cup Food Processor, Brushed Stainless Steel

Customer Review: excellent processor
Summary: 5 Stars

I hadn't bought a food processor in over twenty years ( Cuisinart 20 cup ). Cuisinart's does strive for excellence in quality and this is what brought me back to the brand. My old machine made it through a lot of use almost abuse!
This 14 cup is a perfect size for anyone who does food preparation on a little larger scale such as we need for a family of four. The stainless exterior matches the current kitchen styles in appliances as well.
Easy clean and quick processing are two important factors for me and this machine gets great marks for both. PLenty of power to do the tougher jobs.
This is one of the only products that I have in my home today that I had over twenty years ago.

Customer Review: Quality Product
Summary: 5 Stars

After debating over what size processor to buy, my family is extremely happy with the 14 cup and the power that goes along with it. We have grated. We have made dough. We have even made fresh butter! It's more than we expected and honestly well worth the money. Just the ability to say that we made butter is cool enough - the other great features are just a bonus.

We had a lower quality processor that just wasn't worth pulling out of the cubbord. It's amazing when the unit is designed properly what you can do with this type of equipment. This isn't a "uni-tasker"; it's versatility is amazing! We want to use it, and so far everything we have tried has worked out very well.

Customer Review: Great Processor
Summary: 5 Stars

I had a Cuisinart Processor for about 30 years and it was my prized possession. This is a newer model and the design has been improved in that the disks of the original were clumsy to store but these have a separate stem that connects so it is much more space efficient. I love the larger bowl - 14 cups and a new safety when putting on the lid. You have to get used to attaching everything right as it will not run when it is not. Blades are sharp and in my opinion the safety is a good thing. I have never found another processor that would chop up onions without pureeing them. The price on Amazon was also great and I see it is about what they get for the 11 cup processor in other stores.

Customer Review: Replacement processor
Summary: 4 Stars

We have been using a Moulinex processor purchased in Saudi Arabia years ago, with all the attachments which had travelled the globe with my ex-pat husband until he landed back in the states. We were sad when it finally died but the replacement after careful research and accessment of our current needs has fit the bill 100% so far.

We only have the basic blades and dough wand but for making breads, hummus, veggie soups and guacamole it has worked like a dream. Large capacity and simple yet powerful operation.

It seems well made, is quit and looks at home in our stainless steel kitchen.

We recommend this item to folks with similar requirements.

Customer Review: upgraded from 7 cup to 14 cup!
Summary: 5 Stars

Never thought I'd use a food processor, my mom had an ackward large one that just sat on the counter. So, I started with the 7-cup. You'd be amazed at how often you use it! It makes wonderful sauces, creams soups easily (just don't over fill or you'll get a little "splatter" from the powerful burst!) After a couple of years, I realized that the 7 cup just wasn't big enough...if you love cooking and entertaining like I do, you must get the 14 cup. It's easy to use, and easy to clean. It shreds cheese wonderfully! I use it at least once a week, it has a permanent place on my kitchen counter. I've never tried to make crust or dough with it, but I will next time.
