Customer Review: Okay, its a Replacement Coffee Pot

The 10 cup Cuisinart Replacement Carafe came just in time for me after I cracked the last carafe we owned. Since these products that this carafe fits with are no longer offered by Cuisinart, the replacement carafe and other accessories are still available. That is a big thank you from this customer who likes the coffee maker I acquired a couple of years back. Thankfully as well that Amazon has the best price of anyone on line for this pot and when you couple your acquisition with other orders you do not have to pay shipping if you get it in a moderate amount of time.
The one thing I wonder is how soon this pot will crack if not cleaned properly. In fact, I think the pot is rather delicate for the price of the pot and for the price of the coffee maker. I did not want an aluminum pot though, so fragile carafe it is. Avoid breaking the pot by following the cleaning instructions. Also, do not use it right away after a thorough clean, let it sit for a while to let the pot cool or get back to room temp whether cold or hot. The only thing I can think of that caused the original pot to crack is that when I turned the machine on, the warmer on the bottom was too hot too quickly. Yet, I had not had a problem cleaning it before.
The carafe despense well, usually, sometime the lip cover causes small spillage, but a less enthusiastic pour may help.
Overall, I have been pleased with my Cuisinart machine and the carafe that I have now. I will look to acquire a new system in the near future and hope to have success with that one too.
