Although this unit works fairly well, be advised, it does have quite a bit of power, and if you are careless, you will have frothy something all over the place. (I guess I am saying it has plenty of power, but like all power it needs to be controlled--and this unit only has one speed, high. ) I have kind of stopped using this as I have a new little battery powered unit that has plenty of power for simple things like frothing milk and it is easier to clean (and a moderate amount of power).Customer Review: LOVE IT!!!

I'm a frugal shopper that researches possible purchases to death before I buy. And I can't stand useless gadgets taking up room in my kitchen. This has less parts to clean than a mixer or blender. And it can whip heavy cream into whipping cream in literally 5 seconds. Extremely versitile and easy to store. It's one of those rare tools that you don't know how you went without it for so long. Absolutely love it. And Amazon always pleases me how fast they ship with never any damage.Customer Review: Challenging tool

This does the job, but it takes a fair amount of practice to get used to controlling it. I'm surprised at Cuisinart. The device is single speed, when it should be variable speed with touch control. The first time you insert it in the blender cup that comes with it, you should expect to throw liquid all over the kitchen. If you're pureeing a deep, thick mixture of soup it probably works fine, but blending in that measuring cup takes the delicate touch of an artist. Good luck.Customer Review: Smart-Aleck Stick!

This SmartStick is the greatest thing since the "Hershey Bar"! I feel a big "Duh" everytime I use it: (I should have gotten one sooner). It's more than I expected! Being a male, my timing & co-ordination in the kitchen are a far cry from being efficient. This device has gained me lots of ground in that regard. Chili, Sauces, Mashed Taters, you name it, all become a snap with this little jewel and a whole lot of "less mess" to clean up. Can I give it a "Ten Star" rating?Customer Review: very pleased

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product, it has been working very well and seems surprisingly powerful. It will quickly blend up banana in a milkshake so smoothly that you don't even know that it's in there, the other hand blender we used prior to purchasing this one would always leave detectable bits at the bottom. The only reason I didn't give this five stars is because of the size, it's rather tall and a little bit difficult to handle especially for someone older.
