Being a health enthusiast and always on the go, I always look for a quicker way to prepare meals. This hand blender lets me do that and save me a lot of time. I've had it for a little over a month now. It has a simple one-speed button along with a simple, yet sturdy 2-piece design which releases by an additional button. Clean up is a BREEZE - just rinse it in warm water and dry. The power is unparalleled - I make a lot of shakes and throw a lot of solid food into it and in a about 1/2 a minute or less its ready to drink. The motor is so powerful it suctions my shaker to it so I when I lift the blender while its blending, it lifts the shaker too! And the noise decibel is maybe half that of a normal blender which helps a lot, especially for people with sensitive hearing. I think this is an amazing product, considering its price as compared to a KitchenAid one. I think it equals or beats it. After reading reviews on Amazon and elsewhere, I purchased this model following the demise of my Braun Multimix. The Braun's blender attachment was adequate for the time, but this gadget is truly surprising for a hand held stick blender. I make chili the old-fashioned way, pureeing dried chilies into a paste. My old Braun always left a rough mixture. Right out of the box, the Cuisinart made short work of a large amount of peppers, reducing them to a smooth paste. The included beaker is, for a change, actually large enough to allow you to do some work. Looking forward to trying this out on my homemade pizza sauce!
In short, this Cuisinart model is about the most powerful stick blender you can get for this price. The wand is dishwasher safe, it stores compactly so that even an apartment dweller can have one, and while I'm not a big "gadget cook," I'm going to find uses for it that I probably hadn't thought of.
Customer Review: Best method for Hollandaise Sauce!!

If you've ever struggled with making Hollandaise you won't ever again if you buy this blender! It's so easy! Here's the recipe:
4 egg yolks
1 Tbsp. lemon juice (approximately the juice a half of a lemon)
dash white pepper
1/4 tsp. salt
1 stick butter (1/2 c.)
Melt butter in microwave until just bubbly in a glass container with a handle. Combine first 4 ingredients in the beaker that comes with the blender and mix it with the immersion blender with a couple of pulses. Slowly pour butter (while still hot) into yolk mixture mixing in a little at a time to create an emulsion. Serve immediately. Sauce does not store well. Eat it all!!!
When you're done detach the blender from the motor, lick it off(carefully!!) and toss it in the dishwasher. Easy cleanup! This thing has paid for itself just in the amount of perfect Hollandaise sauce I've made with it!

Got this as a gift and I love it.
The main thing I use it for is juicing up bananas. I have a juicer, which can murder anything you put in it - apples, oranges, celery, carrots. I use the cup this blender came with to catch the juice. When it's 3/4 full, I put in a cut up banana, then go to town with this hand blender thing. It's amazing. In no time flat the banana is decimated and the drink is just amazing. I love it.
I've also used this for big pots of soup when you need to break everything down. I also made a killer broccoli and cheese soup with it.

I love this thing because it's quick to use and easy to clean. That's it. There's no clunky blender to drag out, no annoying thing to clean. I usually just rinse it off and it's fine. I live in a condo and space is limited, and so this thing is awesome to keep tucked away until I need it. I can't recommend it enough. I love it.
