Just purchased the Cuisinart electric fondue pot and so far, I've been really pleased with it. Have done both oil and cheese fondue with it and both turned out quite nicely. Heat control settings dial in accurately, the non-stick surface on the inside of the pot makes clean-up a breeze, and the magnetic cord disconnect makes transferring the pot from countertop to dinner table (or even the living room floor if you really want to go 70's!) safe and easy. The stainless finish on the pot and chrome legs make it a smart-looking package, too.:-)
Fondue rocks.

After using old sterno can fondue pots for 30 years, this one takes the cake. Itkeeps the temperature just perfect for hours - no fussing with sterno cans. Clean up is so easy with the non-stick surface and if you are worried about the cord hanging over the edge of the table (getting tripped on or pulled by a young child), don't worry - they made an easy release/magnetic connection so that it cannot be pulled over. You may need an extension cord depending on where your nearest outlet it. We even used it outside this summer for appetizers at the cabin - perfect!Customer Review: Christmas present

Our family has enjoyed fonduing every Christmas eve - it has become a tradition. Unfortunately (for me) my youngest daughter and her family live in Chicago and aren't able to join us as often as the others, so this year I purchased a fondue pot for them as a Christmas gift.
I chose the Cusinart instead of the brand I have because of it's brand reputation. It's solid, safe-looking appearance and the expectation that it will hold its heat effectively made the decision for me. That's Cusinart for you, and I don't expect to be disappointed.

I had great fondue at the Melting Pot a few weeks ago and wanted to recreate my experience at home.
This pot by Cuisinart is the best ever. I have two pots. we made cheese, broth, and chocolate.
I have also used it for Asian Hot Pot style cooking. it is great for fondue lovers. and has many different uses other than fondue.. i am thinking of getting a third to give as a present. I highly recommed this.
It is so easy to use and clean. It heats evenly and heats well. A must have for all cooks and kitchens.

This is a great Cuisinart Product. Good size for 4 people, cooks evenly, is large and the stand makes it safe. Overall, very pleased. The one thing to be aware of is the length of the cord. It is a magnetic connection that disengages easily to avoid pulling the pot over (a good thing.) The cord is short, and will need an extension for most people. To avoid the extension from pulling and disengaging the connection, we taped it to the table. Not very attractive but worked fine. I would prefer unattractive than a pulled over pot of oil!
