Customer Review: Useful but flawed

I like the idea of this holder and it does an adequate job but it has a few flaws that should be corrected in future models of this unit.
The 1st issue is that this should hold ALL your blades and disks in 1 holder which this is incapable of doing due to severely limited disk slots, only 1 additional disk slot over what shipped with my processor and I already have 3 more disks than this unit can accommodate.
The 2nd issue is the dough blade falls out almost every time I open the unit, because of issue 3.
Issue 3 it takes 2 hands to open the lock unit, locking unit should be redesigned to allow for single hand opening without picking the entire storage unit up. Granted my unit is new and the lock may wear in to allow this over time, tho I doubt it.

Cuisinart blades are wicked sharp, so clearly they should be stored in an appropriate manner so you don't cut yourself trying to get at them. This is the holder that Cuisinart makes for them. It looks pretty nice, and everything fits: it holds the blades, the disc stem, and 3 discs (so the 2 that came with my food processor plus one more). I agree with the reviewer to said opening and closing the holder is a bit annoying b/c you have to pull while turning the latch. However, it makes sense that it should be a bit difficult to get into/open since it's housing *sharp and dangerous* items. This does mean that you need to take care when closing it to make sure it latches properly.
FYI, the box says: "Holds accessories for all Cuisinart Food Processors except models DLC-XP, DLC-5 and LPP."

I'm really glad I purchased this for my Cuisinart 7-cup Food Processor (EV-7SA2). When I the food processor home, I used a gallon-size ZipLoc bag to hold all the parts to keep them organized, in one place, and clean. When I found this online, I decided it was much more appropriate and practical than the ZipLoc. It holds EVERYTHING the food processor came with, as well as an additional disc if I should need or want to purchase one. Although it is a bit on the large size (it has to be because of the size of the discs and how much it must store), it does have a lock that is childproof. Read the other reviews to make sure that you don't have one of the food processor for which this does NOT work. Of course, Amazon's price is much less than any other site on the web.Customer Review: Handy holder!

I like this holder. I used to keep my processor parts in a small
rectangular, shallow basket. That made for interesting results when
grabbing for attachments. It is no longer a problem to pull out the
needed part. The only drawback is where to put this, which is more
of a personal problem. I just need to make a spot for it in my overcrowded cabinets. Some have expressed a concern about the latch.
It takes a little bit of figuring out, which is a good thing, if you have
small children. If you don't need to worry about that, there is not a need to keep the latch in the locked position. I am so happy to have at least one appliance for which I can easily find the attachments.

This is a handy addition to the food processor. If you have one of these, I am sure you might have discovered as I did just how sharp the blades are. I nicked myself more than once trying to grab my blade out of the bowl where I kept all of the attachements for this. This stores all of the basic disks and dough attachment as well as the chopping blade. There is room for one more disk in addition to what comes with the set. This making keeping your blades and disks in a handy place. My only complaint is the latch that keeps it shut, is a little aggrivating. You must twist the latch by pulling it out, and not just to the side. I couldn't think of a better way to keep everything together!
