The price put us off for a long time, but we eventually bit the bullet and ordered this.
We're very happy with it. Instead of the blades lurking in a drawer, ready to wreak havoc on our fingers, they're locked in the case where they can't hurt anybody. We like it that way.

I am very happy with the purchase of this item. Without it, we had nowhere to store the blades due to their odd sizes. Also, because of the sharpness of the blades, it's nice to have the child proof opener to prevent any accidents. This is a well-designed box. It holds the blades and discs without dulling them and locks very securely. Read the directions carefully because the latch is not intuitive, but once you understand it, it's fast and totally secure. if you need a place to store discs etc, this will do it. however as noted by others the latch is useless and breaks easily. it works only because it has a place for everything and is better than putting sharp and loose items in a box or a drawer. definitely NOT good with children around.Customer Review: Handy holder for the extras

The caddy for all of the Cuisinart discs and blades is great. I no longer open a cabinet and have them falling on my feet. It organizes everything and allows you to retrieve them easily. It is not an essential but it makes handling these items a pleasant experience, not a frustrating one.
