I just bought a set of these at a local off-price retailer. Upon examining one after removing it from the el-cheapo blister pak, I quickly decided to return them. They're inexpensive, yes, but you get no more than you pay for. Besides having very cheap feeling plastic handles and being made of stamped metal, not forged (which I recognized before buying), the blades are unbelievably flimsy. I could nearly bend one in half with little effort. Were it not for the pointed tip and sharp edge, I would think these were toys. They have no weight or substance whatsoever. I own a few stamped J A Henkels knives, and these Cuisi's don't come close to their quality. And I'm gonna use them with Royal Doultan place settings? I don't think so! I'm amazed that Cuisinart would even consider stamping their brand on these dime-store knives. They're absolute garbage!
