Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Cuisinart 625-30D Chef's Classic Nonstick Hard-Anodized 12-Inch Everyday Pan with Medium Dome CoverCustomer Review: super high quality Summary: 5 Stars
The two pieces look great. I immediately rinsed this then put on 4 eggs, lots of space in between them and even after heating the surface was PERFECTLY flat. I had to use very little butter as the eggs just slipped around with a little nudge as soon as they cooked enough that there was an outside skin. Took the eggs out and rinsed, looks brand new after 30 seconds.
Second use I am browning 3 lbs of cubed beef / pork for stew. Cooks everything perfectly, moved everything around while cooking with wooden spoon (although it says I can use steel, I am still cautious about scratching non-stick surface even though product claims cant happen) and I just feel like im cooking with pro cookware. Everything fit at once, this thing is perfectly deep, its just perfect for cooking.
When stew meat was done I picked up pan with pot holders and tilted towards crock pot, everything nicely just slide right out. Cleaning just required light rinsing, amazing!
I am throwing out a skillet and two other non-stick pans because this is all I need.
Customer Review: A great Cuisinart pan at a WONDERFUL price! Summary: 5 Stars
WOW. This pan is WONDERFUL! I am an avid cook who really prefers to use quality cookware instead of bargain-priced knock-offs; saying that, I was delighted to see quality at a bargain price!
I have used the Calphalon 12" Everyday Pan and I like the Cuisinart one better: The sides are better angled, it is non-stick, the lid is tempered glass instead of metal, the handle design is more ergonomic, and it is a bit lighter to manage better without compromising sturdiness.
It is totally non-stick as promoted. When it arrived it had a "Quantanium" sticker on the inside that I thought I'd have to wash out, but it just popped off without a tug from the adhesive. It can go into the oven at higher temps than most, deglazing is a dream, it is a great size for real versatility and it will pretty much just stay out on my stove. Also, it is an attractive pan that I wouldn't mind just bringing to the table.
I highly recommend this pan for the seasoned home chef or the beginning cook, and at $24.95 it is an ABSOLUTE STEAL!
Customer Review: 4 and 1/2 stars Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this several months ago to supplement my 14-piece Cuisinart cookware set. I love it and use it often for cooking dishes in the oven, from Mahi-Mahi to macaroni and cheese.
A few disappointed reviewers have commented on the unevenness of the nonstick coating. I have never had this problem with Cuisinart, but agree that the company should replace any bad-apple, defective items immediately. You deserve a chance to enjoy these pans....
Mine has been super easy to clean (including getting melted cheese off the interior rivets) and I've experienced no scratching, flaking or bubbling of the Quantanium surface. None of my pans has warped, lost shape or anything similar. They look, feel and perform as solid, sophisticated cookware.
The pan is large (12" across, worth noting if you use an electric coil stove top) and slightly shallow; ideally, I'd like the pan to be one inch smaller in diameter and one inch deeper. But it works great and I'd recommend to anyone.
Customer Review: Confusing order instructions re using an Amazon gift card. Summary: 1 Stars
Cuisinart Chef's Classic Nonstick Hard-Anodized 12-Inch Everyday Pan with Medium Dome Cover
I just ordered the above pan and all went well until I had to insert
my Amazon Gift Card number....I inserted the number which was on the
card but they would not accept it saying there was an error...after
trying unsuccessfully to insert it...I saw something regarding a contact
number which unknown to me was the number I had to scratch off...when I
went to correct this it was too late..."This order was being repaired and could not be changed" and the order automatically was charged to my credit card...
I spent a long time on my computer trying to figure this out and also trying
to find a phone number that I could call...with no avail...I'm very disappointed
with this whole procedure...I don't know if this review will be able to help me
in any way...but "WHATEVER"!
Customer Review: A favorite pan Summary: 5 Stars
Wow, Where do I start? The Price! For (...) a non-stick anodized 12 pan! What a deal. many have spent 3 time as much or more. The quality?
Amazing! I enjoy the weight of the pan, not too heavy. It heats up well with no cold spots. I use it to sautee, stir fry, omletts , grilled sandwiches, I always coat the pan with a little oil. (A force of habit)
nothing to do with the quaility of the pan. I enjoy cooking with it clean up is a breeze. I like the handles, my cooking space is small and didn't want handles that stood out. It comes with a glass lid. Very nice. Buy this you won't regret it. Makes a great gift for someone just starting out. Oh and I forgot the pan works just fine in the oven.
It's March 2008 and I still love this pan! It's March 2010 and the pan has starting sticking. Broiled salmon in it and it had to be pryed off. Oh well. Still love this pan. Oh well back to shopping list you must go. I am getting another one.
