I have a set of calphalon pans but burned up my 1 1/2 quart pan, they are so expensive and hard to find in stores to replace so I purchased the cuisinart instead and like the calphalon the handles do get hot and they are not as heavy but for the price the cuisinart works just as wellCustomer Review: Not for Rice

Quality saucepan - Oven proof to 500 degrees. However, there is no vent in the lid, so cooking rice leads to a messy stove top. Clearly, I didn't read the description carefully.
