The unit worked fine, but the handle kept on falling out of the unit and onto the floor. I must have picked it up 20 times, now the plastic part does not stay on the handle and I have to use it without it, which is not a problem.
------- UPDATE
after using the machine twice, the rollers won't turn anymore in the highest settings when dough is passed through, i.e. pressure is applied to them. The attachments work fine.

I've been wanting a pasta roller for some time, my mother had one when I was younger. I have made fettuccini, angel hair, and farafelle pasta (using the lasagne roller and hand shaping) with this machine, cooking half the recipe that day and freezing the other half (already shaped) for another days use. Also with this machine i can make whole wheat pasta, and/or put spinach in the pasta to make it a bit more healthy than regular.Customer Review: great pasta machine!

The first pasta machine (V178 Al Dente) that was sent had two duplicate heads, so we followed instructions as to how to send the machine back in order to receive a complete set. It worked really well -- the machine was delivered (with all correct heads) in just under two weeks! Very impressed. The pasta machine is great! Thanks. I bought the pasta maker and I was amazed at how sturdy it is for the price I payed. I was under the impression that it was going to be smaller and the metal was going to be lighter. I was dead wrong.
The only thing that made me feel a little unconfortable is the instructions manual. It does not include instructions on how to use the thing, thanks goodness for youtube on that regard.

I had the chance to use my CucinaPro 178 Fresh Pasta Set only once and I'm a little concerned about the next usage. I only used the Spaghetti cutter but after one usage there was this terrible squeaking noise come from it as I turned the handle that operate the cutting blades. Sounds like it needs a large dose of WD 40 or the blades are about to fall out. Hope it holds up!
