Customer Review: waffles great BUT waffle maker poor quality

We purchased the CucinaPro Belgian Flip Waffle Baker on 9/4/2009 and on 9/29/2010 the handle fell off and can not be reattached. The handle holds the entire upper grid and outer frame together so the waffle baker is useless without the handle. Prior to this occurrence the little metal device (that kept the waffle baker from rotating when the lid was open) failed to work properly but it was not a show stopper. There was a one-year limited warranty on this appliance.
This waffle baker was used by one person to make waffles two or three times a week and was not mistreated. Much as you may want the same great waffles you get from flip waffle bakers when staying at a motel, the quality of this waffle baker does not justify the price.
