The Glass crock was not right and the lid would not set squarely on it. I then contacted the manufacturer about this and was sent a replacment crock.It was even worse! I contacted them again by email. I was then given an order number for another crock if I wanted to buy one.So basically the thing is a bad deal!! This is a good pot to have around, it may cook a tad faster then I would like BUT never burned anything in it. I have done meatloaf, pork loin, spare ribs, chicken just to name a few and never came back to anything burnt. I have recommended it to friends that work so they can come back to a hot meal. My husband gave this to me as christmas present. I like the size and I thought I would like the different settings. HA! Just like all the other reviewers mine cooks way to fast. When I do use it I set it on the 10 hour setting everything is done in 4 hours or less. Not exactly helpful for people who work. This crock pot will get the job done, but you have to cook everything on the 10-hour setting because it cooks at way too high a temperature. If a recipe calls for 8-10 hours on low, you'll need to cook at the 10-hour setting for about 5-6 hours. That's how hot it cooks. Don't even try using the hotter settings or your food will burn.Customer Review: Not a "slow cooker"

I had been wanting this for some time. I had a Rival Crock Pot for many years, but wanted this larger one with removable crock. I received it as a gift, but it sure doesn't work like my old one. It just boils everything and can't even be turned to a low-enough temperature. DON'T BUY THIS UNLESS YOU JUST WANT AN ELECTRIC POT!
