Customer Review: Minor blips, but overall great!

We find the little green indicator light kind of blinding (from across the room!) and the handles dangerously hot during and shortly after cooking, but this is otherwise a great deal. The other item I looked into was the All-Clad Deluxe Slow Cooker from Williams Sonoma. At 1/4 the price, this is most satisfactory alternative. I really enjoy not having to move a hot and heavy dripping roast from the pan I brown it in to the insert to finish cooking! I appreciate that the insert is dishwasher safe, but I found that I had to re-scrub the bottom to get it clean.. however, this is probably the function of not using the pots & pans cycle on the dishwasher.Customer Review: Poor Quality Lid

I buy a lot of things from Amazon, but rarely review products. This was so bad (and pricey) that I had to warn others.
The lid does not fit properly on this slow cooker. There are two high spots in the stoneware lid. The lid actually rocks back and forth on these two spots. Which means that it does not keep in any moisture at all!
I tried to make pulled pork (which I've done at least 20 times in my last slow cooker with excellent results) and this time there was no moisture left in the meat at all because it had all evaporated out of the open top. This was an absolute waste of money! DO NOT PURCHASE!

Love this crock pot. The digital display on the front is a good idea. Easy to know how much longer it is till the meal is done. I used it to make a big batch of split pea soup. Great recipe is included in the recipe book that comes with it. I cant wait for St. Patrick's Day, when we will make a nice brisket with cabbage dinner!! It's big enough that a good sized piece of meat will fit in it nicely, leaving plenty of room for more ingredients. Cleans up easily. The ceramic pot comes out easily too. Minor issue, but I wish the cord was a little longer. Would recommend this to friends without question.Customer Review: Worth the money

Wow, this crock pot is amazing! After reading reviews on all of the new versions out there, I decided on this one (even though it was more expensive than the others I was considering). Boy am I glad I did!
This one cooks with the proper heat and did not smell like plastic, like some reviews claimed.
It is extremely versatile: I have used it in the microwave and have sautéed in it on the stovetop as well. It makes cooking an entire meal in one pot very easy and tasty. And I pop it in the dishwasher when I'm done---SO EASY!
This crock pot is definitely worth the money!

Received this crockpot as a gift. Used it three times. Followed all the instructions/directions. On the fourth use, I noticed the stoneware was cracked. Called the company and they said the warranty did not cover it because it was an "old model" manufactured three years earlier, based on some code # on the plug. So, my complaints are poor materials and poor customer service.
i eventually purchased another stoneware insert. i was very careful to not overheat it on the stove. six uses later, i noticed a large crack. i'm done with this model. the insert is made poorly.
