I purchased this to make overnight oatmeal (1 cup steel-cut oats to 4 cups water). The heat is too high in this slow cooker so the oatmeal on the bottom and sides was cooked hard and brown, like a taco shell. This lil crock is the greatest I use it for hot dips,and to keep the gravy hot for a huge meal during the holidays. The only thing I wish it had was a temp control sometimes it gets to hot and I have to unplug it for a little while, but all in all its a great lil crock!!!!Customer Review: Serves its purpose

Great item! Serves it's purpose! Lack of temperature control. The manual indicates it heats on the equivalent as the "low" setting on a larger crockpot. I think it to be a little warmer than "low".Customer Review: Great for dip
