Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Crock-Pot 3735-WN 3-1/2-Quart Slow CookerCustomer Review: nice size, great removable insert Summary: 4 Stars
The size of this slow cooker is just right for singles/couples. Smaller ones aren't big enough to accommodate most recipes (even when cut in half), and if you are cooking for one or two, you don't need a huge family-sized cooker.
I actually have not used this item yet, but with the cool weather upon us, I will be making beef stew and chili any day now. I love the removable insert. I used my old crock pot very little because it was such a pain to clean (it did NOT have a removeable insert). WIth this one, you just remove the insert and wash it up.
Customer Review: Great for singles, too! Summary: 5 Stars
I'm single and live by myself, and I have found that this Crock Pot is an excellent way to have a really nice meal waiting for me when I get home from work. I can make enough to last a few meals, but the Crock Pot works great even with a smaller amount of food -- you just want to make sure you've got plenty of liquid in there. I use my Crock Pot all the time, and it has worked perfectly from the moment I took it out of the box. It is also quite easy to clean; even if you forget to clean it right away, a bit of a soak with hot soapy water does the trick.
Customer Review: Just the right size for my family Summary: 5 Stars
I bought one of these for my daughter for Christmas and I got this particular one because it had all the attributes she wanted. She wanted it to be small ehough for just two people and to be able to remove the bowl for cleaning. This was the ONLY one I found with those attributes. There were 1 qt. size that were too little and all the bigger ones for big families. After she got it she liked it so well that I bought one for myself and it works perfectly. I think the size for a small family and the ease of cleaning are the real selling points for me.
Customer Review: cheap lids and handles Summary: 2 Stars
Cheap, cheap, cheap constructions of the handles. I bought two of these, one for me and one for my Mother. I envisioned cooking up a meal in mine and swapping it out for my Mother's when I went to visit. When I opened the box one lid was loose. I tightened it with a Phillips screwdriver, and washed both pots and lids, as instructed. Now both the handles are loose, dishwater collects underneath them, and my Mother can't be bothered to pull out a Phillips screwdriver every time she washes the pot and lid. Wish I had never bought them.
Customer Review: Fantastic crock pot Summary: 4 Stars
This slow cooker has been very good for my husband and I. It is the perfect size for most of my crock pot recipes and I like how the crock lifts out so I can set it right on the table when dinner is ready. Two settings is plenty and it is VERY easy to clean. My only complaint is the plastic knob is kind of cheap and cracked, I threw it away and just use the little post that sticks out. But that was after over 3 years of weekly use, definitely add one to your wedding/house warming wish list!
