I love the CorningWare French White line. They are durable, versatile (microwave or oven), and easy to clean. And the color matches my bone china wonderfully, which is a nice plus. The square dish is a harder item to find, one I consider a must-have for things like brownies, cornbread, and small lasagnas. Because I'm not huge on casseroles, the square was just a better choice for me for a dish of this size (2 quart). Only thing that might be a deal-breaker for some is that I'm not sure if a lid (glass or the plastic storage one) is available for this one.Customer Review: Read The Reviews!!

The dish is *almost* exactly what I was looking for - a square dish to match my older French White cookware. However, while it looks like it at first glance, this is not the same thing as my older cookware. Side by side you can clearly see the difference. The square pan is more like stoneware and not at all the porcelain-like cookware I originally bought several (10?) years ago. The dish performs well, so I won't return it, I only wish it matched the others. I have several CorningWare pieces and keep adding to my collection. CorningWare is ovenproof, microwave safe and dishwasher safe. Cooks evenly, easy to clean and maintains its' beautiful white color and gloss. Plus, you can go directly from the oven (or microwave) and put it on the table - because it also makes a great serving piece. The French White CorningWare line is heavier than some of their products, which is another reason I like it.Customer Review: great product
