This wasn't exactly what I expected, and yes--the mugs are different from the other items. The bowls are a bit small--not good for soup or cereal really. But for the price, they are great. I was thankful the few times I dropped a dish and it just bounced on the floor. These are offwhite, more cream colored than pictured here.Customer Review: For a friend...

I bought these for my friend's birthday and she received them all in one piece. She also says she loves them!!! They are very durable and if by chance something breaks, they are sold at Wal-mart in singles so they are cheap and easy to replace. I love using Corelle for my everyday ware. I love that you can pretty much beat these and they survive. I have dropped them here and there and they have always held up well. I have other expensive dinnerware and they all have chips and cracks from being used. The Corelle always look great and clean easily.Customer Review: Corelle/Amazon a great combination.

Received 5 complete sets of Corelle Sandstone.Although I did not order it express,I received them in one day,in perfect condition.No defects, and made in the USA! We are completely happy with Corelle and Amazon. If you are not used to corelle you should know it is much lighter/thinner than ceramic, so you will be able to feel the difference. However I find it to be great for everyday...doesn't stain, doesn't break, not fancy but looks nice. This pattern is a light beige color will match pretty much anything.
