Customer Review: Pragmatism vs. Prestige

Corelle is very practical, everyday dishes that take a lot of abuse. I have once-clear (French) glass dishes that are now scratched and really not attractive. Corelle doesn't show any scratches, doesn't nick and doesn't stain. And they're microwavable and oven-to-table (if less than 400 degrees).
The only negatives, other than the brand, are they tend to be thin and have uniform thickness -- don't look nor feel like fine ceramic tableware. At least this set has an inoffensive pattern.

I was very pleased with these dishes and am glad I ordered two sets so I have service for eight. They were delivered almost immediately, were very well packaged and complement other dishes with designs on them. They are light weight which is a blessing for those with arthritis. Made of a glass material, not melamine. And I love the mugs. Just the right size for that morning cup of coffee or afternoon tea. Microwavable, fit in the dishwasher and the price was right.Customer Review: Perfect dishes for day in, day out use.

Having had some really heavy every day dishes for several years, we decided to purchase some dishes that were easier to lift from dishwasher to cabinet. (I've had a shoulder injury.) Not only are these dishes nice and light, but they stack in a much smaller space than the heavier dishes did, allowing me to move shelves in the cabinet down to make reaching other dishes more easily.
They are good looking and their neutral color goes with everything.

I've had one set of these dishes for five years and just purchased another matching set to go with my larger apartment. They are pretty difficult to break - I have a history of breaking dishes while washing them, and I've never broken any of these, despite wearing slippery gloves while rinsing them. The plain, dark white design is great for table setting - it highlights your pretty napkins and/or centerpiece without giving the table that cluttered look.Customer Review: Nice set

I have had Corelle before, so I knew what to expect. I had glass mugs in my previous set that I like better than the stoneware in this set. The color is nice and plain. My package arrived with no broken pieces. I bought this set for an RV as is is lightweight and microwavable. I would buy the luncheon plates and pasta bowls if they were not so expensive. Overall, I would buy this again and wish Corelle would make more without such busy patterns.
