This is an excellant everyday dinnerware set. It is durable yet easy to clean. The dinner plates are perfect size. Often the less expensive dinnerware sets have dinner plates the size a child would need rather then an adult. The dinnerware is very light weight and at first I thought this would lead to easy chipping and them getting too hot to put on my wooden table. Corelle will never be opulent but always will be serviceable. We purchased for everyday breakfast and lunch use due to durable reputation of Corelle. The dishes are very lightweight and stackable in a small space. Note that cups are not same material as other pieces; they are ceramic/pottery so are not a perfect appearance match. I love Corelle it's thin and durable and space saving. I bought this set because I love red. and WOW it's made in the USA. I was however very disappointed with the mugs that came with the set, The mugs are stoneware and worse made in China. If you like Corelle I suggest you buy all you want now before this company also moves to China.Customer Review: nice and thin

love the Corelle, it stacks easily, and fits nice in dishwasher.I bought 3 sets, and now have everyday service for 12 for under one hundred bucks!! Love the mugs, they are ceramic, tall, and a really nice cup to wrap both hands around in February in Chicago. Pattern is simple, yet has a bit of flare with the red accent. I love my new Corelle set. I had an incomplete older set from a friend that just happened to match the set I remember my Grandma having so I'm very happy to have my own, new, complete set. And I love this design. So simple. Classic Corelle, indeed. Great for kitchens with accents of red.
