Like many others here, I grew up with Corelle (my grandmother still has her original sets that she's used daily in a house with 12 kids, and they show no signs of wear.) so when it came time for me to move out on my own, I picked this pattern to go with my 50's diner motif. They are perfect for that. And when I moved again (and had to leave these behind) I bought 2 more sets as soon as I was settled in. You simply aren't going to find nicer, more durable dishes anywhere. Even if you don't choose this pattern, stick with Corelle. They are THE BEST.Customer Review: Great product-poor packaging.

I love these dishes. They are very pretty, well made, and light weight. Even though this product is well made, Amazon did a poor job of packaging them for shipment. Three boxes out of four were broken. I am still waiting on the replacement for my third box. If this one comes back broken again, I'll return it and purchase Corelle somewhere locally.
With returning the boxes, I had no trouble with Amazon. It was very easy to return the items and I got the replacements quickly. I am very impressed with Amazons return procedures. :)

Amazon's price was much better than any other site (and believe me, I searched out everyone). Correlle is a wonderful product. I have 5 children and have been through 2 sets of traditional stoneware in the last 2 years. Everything chips and breaks even when we're trying to be careful. Correlle is kid friendly! No chips, no breaks (but give my kids time . . . the stuff's not indestructible). It's also an added bonus that Correlle is much much lighter than stoneware. I don't feel like I'm putting a strain on my kitchen cabinets.Customer Review: Quick delivery, low price

I bought this set for my grandmother's new apartment. It stacks very compactly in her smallish kitchen and it's lightweight and easy for her to handle. The red stripes give character, and it's a neutral style that pretty much anyone could use. Shipping was quick and the items were well packaged. I wouldn't worry about the reviews from a couple years ago that said that it arrived broken. And this was by far the lowest price I found.
One other thing, if you haven't seen this set in person, the red stripes are bright red.

I decided to replace my recently purchased dinnerware set because they were very heavy and bulky, albeit very nice looking. I decided to try Corelle again after having a bad experience with them many years ago. So far I'm very satisfied with my sets. The only drawback was not realizing that it didn't come with luncheon plates so I had to try and find them- no luck with pattern but purchased winter white plates that go with everything! So far am happy with product, the purchase price and Amazon's handling of my orders.
