Just received my set of Corelle dishes and was pleasantly surprised by the quality. Having purchased lower priced dishes in the past you will usually find the plates uneven and/or if a design on them done half hazardly. These are done very nicely and even though the cups are stoneware they are very very nice stoneware. Will remind you of a more expensive cappuccino cup, and a really nice size. A little larger than average for that specialty cup of coffee or hot chocolate. I bought to replace my heavy set of stoneware, the plates were as heavy as 3 of the Corelle. I will be ordering another set so when company comes there are enough settings. Get this set you won't be sorry.Customer Review: Classic Corelle

This service for four has all the qualities you're looking for in basic corelle dinnerware, i.e. durability, easy cleaning, simply pattern. However, I find the undersized salad/desert plate unappealing: 8.5" would have been better for plates to use everyday. As one other review suggests, the mugs which come with the set are more gray than white in color, and do not match the white of the set. Love it - classic Corelle - easy, unbreakable, microwaveable (without superheating!), dishwashable set of dishes in a classic, simple style and pattern. I've used it for a month or two now and I absolutely love it. The dishes I replaced with these, purchased from an upscale home store, were gorgeous but very heavy, too thick fit in the dishwasher well, and while the dishes themselves became too hot to handle out of the microwave - the food itself didn't heat well. These dishes have solved each of those problems, and with young children at home I don't worry about breakage, chips or injury. Highly recommended.

I love corelle dishes! I bought these for my in-laws to replace the mismatched dishes they owned. They love the pattern and durability! We bought four sets to make a total of service for 16. Great dishes!!!
The price is a little high! Lower the price a little and I'd buy sets for everyone in our family.
Also, when they arrived, one of the boxes was completely falling apart. I don't know if that was Amazon's doing or from shipping. Packages from Amazon do have a tendancy to be nearly destroyed by the time they get to their destination. It's amazing what some of the products survive!

I ordered two package of the 4 place settings. They arrived shipped in a large cardboard box with a small dent in one corner. When I opened the box, One package was shipped in another cardboard box inside. The other package was put in without the extra cardboard box. It had a few of those "air pillows" stuffed around. I didn't even have to open it to find out it was completely smashed. You could hear all the pieces jiggling inside. What a dissappointment. I believe the other box was sound, but returned it because I needed 8 settings and they couldn't supply a replacement.
