I bought these dishes over a year ago and have been using them non-stop. I did have one plate chip early on but haven't had problems since then. As mentioned in several reviews - these plates are huge and don't fit in my cabinets. I've learned to angle them and put the dinner plates in two different cabinets. I would say that now that i've started a diet, they do distort what a normal portion should be.Customer Review: Corelle is Great! As usual

I love Corelle. It is hardy and beautiful. These plates are gorgeous. We use them daily. They are over sized and unusual, which is why we bought them. They have taken many washings and uses already. I know they will hold up. Corelle stays true to their reputation. We had great difficulty finding them in a store because they were so popular. I saw these at the local grocery store, each piece was $6.99. I researched and found them on Amazon.com for the best price out there. With free shipping we bought 2 sets for the price of 1/2 of one at the local store!! These are great for the dishwasher, hold alot of food, look great on the table. Very happy with these. I really like this set. I had looked for a red/black dinnerware set for quite a while when I found this on sale! I haven't been able to scratch, chip or damage these plates in any way. The cups are great size for sipping a cuppa in the morning, and the plates are so big that even I can get enough to eat on one. Thank you Amazon for another great product at a below reasonable price.Customer Review: Had to return it.

I'm surprised you requested this review because I returned the item. They
were just what I wanted, color and all, but when I tried to put the dinner
plates in the dishwasher they only fit if I placed them using two spaces.
This reduced the dishwasher capacity. Next problem surfaced when the same
dinner dishes didn't fit in my standard sized kitchen cabinet.
