Customer Review: Nice looking but not completely practical

I bought these dishes to match my red kitchen. My four year old Noritake Colorwave set was scratched and chipped so it was time for some new plates. I fell in love with the style of these plates when I saw them at Walmart and I came to Amazon and bought them for MUCH less (free shipping too!!!). I was also attracted to the one year warranty. Amazon shipped quickly and out of the two boxes I purchased, 1 salad plate was broken. Amazon sent my a replacement set very quickly.
The dishes are great except for the dinner plate. It is very nice but huge. This causes a few problems:
(1) The dinner plates don't fit in our standard cabinets. I have to move them to lower cabinets
(2) The dinner plate hardly fits in the dishwasher.
(3) The dinner plate is too big for our microwave. While it fits inside, the turntable cannot spin.
Also, I notice that the dinner plate is a bit heavy. But the style is so great, I feel that it is worth these minor annoyances. We especially love the oversized coffee mugs and the square bowls. They are so stylish.
I would definitely buy these dishes again. They are very stylish and very cheap!!!
EDIT: I ordered the Corningware Ryku serving peices and casserole and they match perfectly!
