Customer Review: Just What I Needed

I wanted this to carry my evening tea supplies (tea pot, cup, carafe of hot water, and possibly a glass of water) to the couch. I looked at multiple products and decided on this one because it was an attractive product with a reasonable price. I wasn't sure how often I'd use it, so I didn't want to pay $40 for one. At the same time, some of the cheaper versions just weren't very attractive. I've had this for a few days now and I'm very happy with it.
As I said, it's attractive. The cherry blossom design is very subdued. It looks nice sitting on the table and just using it is pleasant. As an added bonus, it also matches the cherry blossom pattern on my tea pot. It wipes off fairly well, but I worry that certain things (like tea or coffee) might stain the white surface if left on long enough. It's also thin enough to store easily, if you felt the need. It's decorative enough that it could be left sitting out, though. I like this pattern enough that I'm looking into buying other products from this line.
It's surprisingly sturdy. I use it to carry a small tea pot, a glass of water, a cup, and a 2 quart carafe full of water. It feels like it could easily hold more, though I would probably be a little skeptical of using it to carry an extremely heavy item. The handles on the site are comfortable. Also, while the surface is completely smooth, it isn't overly slippery. I don't worry that anything will slide or spill while I'm carrying it, but it's not going to offer a lot of traction.
I can't comment about durability, since I've only recently started using it. Nothing about it makes me anticipate any problems. I'm already considering buying another tray like this, since it's an extremely convenient thing to have around the house and the price is pretty low. For just carrying drinks or snacks back and forth, I would recommend the product to anyone.
Edit on 2/4/11: I've had the tray for eight months and I can comment on a couple of issues that concerned me in my initial review. Even after letting tea dry overnight (or a little longer sometimes), it still wipes off very easily with just a damp cloth. It's definitely durable, since I haven't had any problems with it over several months of use. I ended up buying a second one and I'm still very happy with my purchase.
