Wouldn't you think that the people who ship things for Amazon would occasionally READ these reviews?
Despite numerous reports that they arrive broken, I ordered these Corelle bake-and-serve pieces because people seem to like them, and figured that SURELY by now Amazon had figured out how to ship them without breakage. Well, they arrived today and the lid of the smaller casserole is broken -- for an obvious reason:
The packaging (back in China where these are now made) is such that the handle of the larger lid rests on the smaller lid, separated only by a piece of thin cardboard. The slightest bump during shipping is going to drive the one against the other and break it. No amount of packing OUTSIDE the Corelle box will solve this problem.
Amazon needs to OPEN each package and INSERT protective bubble material between the two lids.
It shouldn't take ME to figure this out!
I'm writing this comment before submitting my request for a replacement top (which I am confident Amazon will provide).
What a waste for everyone, for Amazon shipping to allow a situation like this to continue -- not just for months, apparently, but for years!

The recipe for a great dish starts, surprisingly, with a great dish! Corelle Coordinates oven-to-table bakeware pieces come in a wide range of striking solids and patterns that coordinate with break and chip-resistant Corelle dinnerware - a combination that creates inviting tables that family and friends will admire and remember.A perfect pairing with Corelle's Callaway dinnerware, these matching off-white casserole dishes bear the pattern's signature garland of green ivy around their exterior rims and make lovely and convenient oven-to-table serving vessels. The set includes a large 2-1/2-quart round covered casserole dish for cooking a family-sized baked pasta casserole and a smaller 1-1/2-quart round covered dish for baking a side of corn pudding or sauerkraut with peas. Wide handles on either side of the dishes provide a safe grip for carrying to the table and thick, rolled rims reduce spillage. Made of nonporous, heavy stoneware, the dishes and their lids won't stain or absorb flavors or odors. Additionally, all pieces are safe for the dishwasher and can move among the oven, microwave, refrigerator, and freezer without experiencing any cracking due to temperature changes.
