For those of us in the market for an affordable man-sized mug without ridiculous NASCAR decals and logos, this mug is worth the price. Keeps coffee warm well over an hour. If the consumer needs the coffee scalding longer than that, this may not be your best choice. I'm over 2 years of daily use and still going strong with daily hot-water only cleaning. This coffee mug is exactly what I hoped. It holds 24 oz of coffee. No other travel mug does that. It fits in our car's cup holder snugly and doesn't tip. Before we pour our coffee in the mug, we pour in hot water to heat up the mug. This helps to keep our coffee hot through our 1.5 hour drive to work. I bought 2 mugs. As I love the size of this mug, the drinking opening in the lid doesn't close. That means, since it is of large size, it tips easily out of the cup holder and spills out over the seat. It does fit into the cup holders, but not snug. It still works better than the other mugs I have bought for the car. I threw this mug away the first time I used it. By the time I got to work the coffee was barely warm (20 minutes). I knew I was in trouble as I left the coffee shop and found I couldn't hold the metal because it was too hot. All the heat was being lost. Stay away unless you want a big water glass. Ignore the high ratings because this mug sucks.
