Now the company will tell you it`s not for carbonated drinks. A great deal of pressure will build up if you shake it. This supposedly will cause it to leak but after using it for more than six months on my motorcycle I have yet to find this to be the case. True, when it`s full and you first open it up after it being shook for a bit it will tend to shoot out some gas and fine liquid spray as though first opening a can of soda. I simply point the opening away from my face and all is fine. The same occurs for my lady who fills hers with beer. The only difference is she finds the button will tend to stick after awhile. I suspect this would happen with any soda containing sugar or other drinks like orange juice. This is easily remedied by cleaning the bottle after each use... something I don`t have to do with my diet coke. The ease of opening the bottle with one hand and taking a sip makes this bottle far superior to anything else currently on the market and a true blessing when riding a motorcycle. I highly recommend it for this purpose and when driving a car as I use it then, too.
