This is the most awesome travel mug ever! I'm going to give a detailed list of pros and cons for those looking to purchase this travel mug.
Cons
Cannot microwave (its barely a con because it keeps things warm for sooo long, and beside I think its a given that a stainless steal mug cannot be nuked)
Strange smell will come from the lid, however this does not affect the flavor of the drink as you only smell it after removing the lid and smelling just the lid itself.
Not that easy to clean.
Pros
Its a really nice color.
It keeps things cold or warm forever! I poured my coffee at about 7:50 and it was still warm when I went to lunch at 12:00!!!
(this is in a cold environment as well, I work out doors so the coffee mug is actually in a poorly heated booth most of the day, some of the day its actually outside in -20)
Its absolutely leak proof! Don't believe me? Fill it with water and toss it back and forth between a friend, turn it upside down over your lap or head, not a drop.
That is perfect for a klutz like me.
The lid gasket only smells if you don't clean the cup, I use it for coffee the first half of the day, then the rest I drink water out of it, it keeps it clean and voila! No foul smell.
Its small enough to fit in every cup holder known to man, I even tilt it sideways and sneak hot chocolate into the movies, but its big enough to hold to regular cups of coffee + creamer + my whipped topping and whatever else I want to throw in there.
The push button is awesome, looking at it, you'd think, because its leak proof its going to be like trying to drink rain drops, but it actually pours better than regular coffee mugs, something about the design is like a large straw, one you'd get at a malt shop, its pretty cool.
Also, I see some people posted photos of plastic or rubber coming off the lid, this wouldn't happen if they didn't tighten it too hard or clean to roughly, hot water and soap swished in there is enough to cleanse it, and once you see the silver rim disappear into the black lid, you can stop screwing! Its not going to leak, I'm about to order a black or blue one for my honey to take to school, they are really sweet.
