Customer Review: Wondering if I'm really reviewing the same item...

I ordered this item, all right.. but it seems like mine's magically much worse quality than others have been describing. Reading reviews on here, I was certain I had just picked the best sippy-cup for adults on the market. If that's true, there really just isn't a satisfactory item available then.
First.. The pros.. When the lid is on properly, it doesn't spill. However, I shake my drink (Crystal Light) and sometimes mid-shake I'll feel a drop or two squirt out of somewhere. But I can drop it or throw it spinning around in the air without making a mess. Also, it sits in my cup holder nicely.
That's it for the pros.. Now the cons..
Where to start.. The lid, as someone else said.. has to be perfectly aligned. If it's not, when you go to tighten it, you'll end up making a huge mess. I've done it quite a few times early in the morning and when in a rush. Great way to ruin the start of your day, that's for sure.
Keeps liquids cold for 12 hours? Haha! Maybe if you live at the North or South Pole! This was one feature I was especially looking forward to. First thing I do when I wake up is grab a cold drink. With this, I thought I could have my drink sitting beside my bed when I went to sleep and still have it cold when I woke up. Definitely not the case. I've even tried sticking an ice cube or two in there before going to sleep to see if that would help prolong it being cold. Again, by the time I woke up after only 6-8 hours, it would be at room temperature and not even slightly chilled.
Also, whoever said it's easy to clean must have the world's smallest hands. I've been trying to hand wash it every day since I got it. It's too thin to reach down, so you need to jam a paper towel in there and spin it around with the a spatula handle, or something similar, like you're churning butter. As far as the lid goes? It's nearly impossible to clean. Your best bet is to turn the faucet on full blast, hope you have a lot of water pressure, and spray that water in there like crazy. I can't even fit my pinky finger in the largest gaps on the side. I've tried sticking paper towels and using a spoon handle to scrape it around, but it doesn't do any good and leaves plenty of other places out of reach for cleaning.
My last and largest issue, which sort of goes with the cleaning issue.. I can't tell what in the world it is.. I think it's a layer of the rubber or some sort of film that was around the inside, I'm not sure.. But there's a solid black gooey thing that coats the entire inside of my lid.. It keeps peeling off randomly and getting in my drinks. I've tried my best to scrape and clean it out, but nothing's worked. I first noticed when my drinks had a really strange after taste. After opening the lid, I noticed a few black strips of that gunk floating around in my drink. I don't know what it is but it looks and tastes disgusting. Also, the only thing I drink is water mixed with crystal light (pink). I didn't leave it sitting out for days without cleaning it or anything. Like I said, I've tried cleaning it daily. There's nothing anywhere near black that's been inside my cup except for the lid, so I've come to the conclusion to blame this cup.
I ended up here making this review because I saw it while looking for a different cup to buy. Felt I should share my experience, even if it seems like I was horribly unlucky and that somehow nearly everyone else that reviewed got a better cup than I did.

A bit of a follow up, I've found out that the gooey black substance that kept winding up in my drink was actually the paint on the metal lining the inside of the lid. After I let it dry off a bit, it was plainly noticeable what it was. So, great.. Thanks to this cup and it's wonderful craftsmanship I've been drinking chipped off paint of some sort.
