I agree with a few other reviewers, that the magnet is pretty dang small.
I run a letterpress print shop, and can hear this timer go off over my printing machines. I particularly like the fact that the timer, once reaching zero, starts counting upwards until you come shut it off. Lets you know how much over you've been timing.
But the tiny magnet is way too small. I might Gorilla glue a larger magnet on the back.

I looked at many diferent timers before purchasing this one. This one is simple to use, is both a count up and count down timer, and can be read from across the room.
Many of the other digital timers have way too many buttons and functions. I just wanted a digital timer that is almost as easy to set and use as the traditional mechanical kitchen timer.
This one has both a strong magnet on the back and a flip out stand. It also has a small hook you can fold out to hang it on a nail.
This is a winner. Simple, cheap, and usefull.

The timer kept going up and down with both set of the numbers superimposed over each other, which was a muddled mess. I felt the directions were not to clear as a tool for instruction. I am returning the item.Customer Review: Great product, only if it's for you.

A great product, good finishing, strong magnet, works great and does what it says it does, no surprises.
The digits never go off, you can't turn off the device. Maybe it's not the main cause for global warming, but it just seems weird at first.
It's not for moving around. If you carry it in your bag it will beep a lot because the buttons are very sensitive.
Remember that it is only for 99 minutes.

I really like this timer. It is very easy to use. The display is large. The sound is loud enough to be heard far away. I liked that the previous count is recalled. I do wish it had an on/off switch for when I am not using it. Unless I take out the battery it is on all the time. Also, I would have loved if it had multiple timers to allow to time more than one food item.
