I expected these to be the size of traditional ice cube trays. They are not. they are barely 1/4" deep. These are ice FLAKE trays. purely a novelty item not functional as ice cubes. Unless you plan on using the whole tray for each glass.
I think they are cute and well made just too shallow to be functional.

Absolutely wonderful! Much easier to pop the shapes out by pushing through the back rather than the traditional bang-it-on-the-counter method. My only qualm? That the shapes with sharper angles (ie dolphins and stars) can be a bit harder to get out.Customer Review: Cute shapes, difficult to remove ice

Shapes are a neat idea, but removing the ice from the trays can be challenging. The soft rubber seems to hold onto the ice.Customer Review: Crafts

I used these to make "hot melt" art pieces which are easy to remove because the trays are flexible.
