After happily using a siphon cleaner that is activated by squeezing a bulb end for dozens of years, I was disappointed to only find locally, expensive siphon cleaners that activate by jerking the end up and down in the water. When the duct tape on my old cleaner finally failed, I broke down and reluctantly purchased one. After scaring my fish half to death trying to get the thing started by jerking it up and down, I searched on line and found the Reef one Cleaner Pump. The price was very reasonable and the construction was excellent. It worked first time out of the box without disturbing the fish. If it lasts half as long as my cheaper unit I will be happy.
