This dinner set is glorious! It conjures up visions of Harvest-time family dinners giving thanks for all the bounty on these plates. The colors are pleasing and clear without being garish at all. The true tones in the turkey and foliage will compliment any Thanksgiving de`cor, allowing the use of almost any color palate.
The shape of the cups and the ridged edges of the plates are festive and well done.
This set is a winner! And you will not go wrong setting your table this holiday season with this "sure to become an heirloom" Churchill China set.

Thanksgiving Turkey Multi Coloured dinnerware is produced by utilising the centuries old art of transfer printing from an original engravings which bring to life the Turkey which we all associate with the traditional Thanksgiving Holiday. We at Churchill try to bring the best out in our designs by reproducing our ceramics the way our forefathers did in the 18th Century. Each Piece is processed and handled at least 50 times before it is finally made ready for our customers. This vintage feel is applied to all 20 Items in the Dinner Set for four, which consists of four complete place settings, perfect for either Casual or Formal Dining:- 10inch Dinner Plate, 7inch Bread & Butter Plate, 6inch Soup/Cereal Bowl, Tea Cups & saucers. Manufactured in fine English Earthenware, Thanksgiving Turkey products are both Microwave & Dishwasher safe. This collection is endorsed by Churchill China with its 200 years of history in the manufacture of dinnerware for the home.Churchill, a British producer of tableware for more than 200 years, has thoughtfully created a pattern specifically for the celebration of the most food-focused of American family holidays--Thanksgiving--with a design transfer-printed from an early American copperplate engraving. The Thanksgiving Turkey Full-Color 20-piece dinnerware set includes dinner and salad plates, a multi-purpose bowl, and a cup and saucer, providing the basics for a festive table for four.
The turkey featured in the Churchill Thanksgiving Turkey design is highly detailed, as if from an antique natural history engraving; the bird stands in full-tailed display amid a cluster of ferns. The borders of each piece consist of equally detailed drawings of forest flora: blackberries, acorns, oak leaves, and simple wild rose blossoms. The color palette includes soft blues, reds, golds, and greens in the muted tones of a hand-tinted photograph. Each piece has a subtle spiral fluting, mostly on the rims; it is most pronounced on the coffee/tea cups. The Churchill Thanksgiving Turkey pattern offers a wide range of matching pieces such as coffee mugs, a cookie jar, a teapot, a creamer and a covered sugar bowl, as well as single place settings or individual setting pieces.
Churchill earthenware is safe for use in the microwave and freezer; however, avoid rapid temperature changes by allowing dishes to make gradual transitions. Churchill pieces are also dishwasher safe; when hand washing, avoid abrasive cleansers and scourers.
