What an elegant way to serve soups and even salad! The bowls looked shallow at first, but when I filled them with soup, the extra large opening made up for the bowl not being deeper. In fact, I think I actually like this shallow bowl better!

This Sandstone soft cream colourway is enhanced by the antiqued edges & Fleur De Lis crests which evoke a natural lifestyle. This vintage feel is applied to the Set of four 9inch Rimmed Soups perfect for either Casual or Formal dining. Manufactured in fine natural, durable stoneware, Country Craft products are both Microwave & Dishwasher safe. This collection is endorsed by Churchill China with its 200 years of history in the manufacture of dinnerware for the home.Churchill captures the genteel comfort of an old French farmhouse in its extensive line of Country Crafts dinnerware. Glazed a lustrous celadon called Patine Green, these four nine-inch rimmed soup bowls beautifully serve up everything from a subtle bisque to a hearty clam chowder, and even work well for individual portions of pasta or salad. Each displays six traditional French fleur de lis crests sculpted on the rim, the ridges of which have been antiqued, in other words slightly browned, in order to exude a vintage look. Patine is French for patina, the priceless sheen produced by age and use. Country Crafts is also available in Sandstone, a creamy oatmeal color.
