This is a nice item for having outside since it has a cover and it's easy to transport with the handle. But beware of using paprika on your eggs (which I think is pretty common) I topped mine with it and it stained the tray and still won't come off after several washed and soaks, and cleaners. Also now water has somehow gotten in the tray and I can't get it out so there is probable soapy water trapped. Just my experience with this product. I bought this as a Christmas gift for my wife. It was a great idea (she said so), but this product was a loser because of its gargantuan size. Deviled eggs are a staple of special meals here, but with fridge space at a premium, there was no way she would let this over-sized egg keeper have an entire shelf. If the very tall lid were shorter, it would have had a chance, as it would have been stackable. Returned.Customer Review: Deviled Egg Platter

I love the chill factor on this egg dish. Its great for a buffet. but I didn't like the lid and the "handle" is just a waste of time. You can't carry it worth a darn with the handle. It just falls off. I like the dish, but wish it was portable than it is.Customer Review: Kept the eggs cold

This thing works! I didn't have high hopes for it, but we had to keep our eggs in the car for a couple hours before eating them, and it kept them cold! Everyone at the party gave us compliments on the dish (not to mention the eggs)!Customer Review: Love it

I just plain love it!! The size and the convenience are perfect. It was originally listed as being subject to staining from paprika, but a small amount of bleach easily removed the stains.
