Prior to molding the metal into its final shape, a double coat of Dupont SilverStone Resist Plus nonstick finish is applied at over 700 degrees F to form a perfectly smooth seal-the same process that is used for major appliances. The dark coloring also absorbs heat well to encourage even browning and shorten cooking times. With 3-inch-deep sides, the roaster offers an especially strong construction with a heavy rolled rim and folded corners for triple thickness.
