Customer Review: Just "OK", not Great NOT worth $$$$

When I got this to fill my cupcake liners, I thought it was going to be GREAT! **It's JUST O.K.** Size of the pitcher is way too small, it will not hold a full cake-batter recipe. The plastic drip seal at the bottom will not open/close perfect, so you have to fiddle with it while full of cake batter.
As for filling cupcake holders, if you use a box-cake recipe it "may" be o.k. if your recipes tend to be runny, but you will have to fill up the reservoir more than once and that is a big pain and time consuming! It would be more economical to use a standard 2-qt pitcher and pour out your batter, using a spatula to help stop the flow and prevent drips. (you can find 2qt pitchers at the Dollar Store for a Buck, too!)
For scratch recipes, cake batter tends to be thicker & moister, and this pitcher will NOT work with them. For those thick recipes, I use a size 2T ice-cream scoop. For really runny cake batter recipes, this pitcher will work great and I did use it and that is ONLY why I rated TWO stars instead of ONE STAR!! However I had to fill the pitcher TWICE!
BOTTOM LINE:
I have just *one* recipe this expensive cake item will work on....NOT worth the price in my book!
