Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Chicago Cutlery Walnut Tradition 10-Inch Serrated Bread/Slicing KnifeCustomer Review: Everything I was hoping for Summary: 5 Stars
The knife is everything it's advertised to be. It is very sharp, cuts through the crust easily but does not tear the softer interior of the loaf.
The handle is nice looking and comfortable.
I've never used or owned a bread knife before so can't give a comparison.
The price seems to be a good value. I'd recommend to a friend.
Customer Review: Superb value Summary: 5 Stars
For the price, you cannot get a better bread knife - and there's really no need to spend more.
I have owned this knife for over four years and have used it almost daily. It's very durable and retains its sharpness. With the 10 inch blade, I've never had an issue slicing through large crusty hearth breads.
Customer Review: This is THE knife for bread slicers! Summary: 5 Stars
We bought a bread slicer from Amazon and found our bread knife was too short to allow a decent cutting stroke with the bread slicer guides in place. This Chicago Cutlery knife is sharp and long enough to allow a good cutting stroke. I've used this brand of knives for years and been happy with them for kitchen use.
Customer Review: 10" Serrated Bread Knife Summary: 4 Stars
The knife does an excellent job of cutting through the toughest crusts. The length is especially handy.
The only negative I have is that there should be a warning included with the knife to avoid putting it in the dishwasher. I used the dishwasher and the finish came off the wood handle on the first washing
Customer Review: Very nice knife Summary: 4 Stars
I was a little leary buying a knife without holding it in my hands first, but I'm not disappointed in this one. It has just the right weight for a bread knife, and the blade is a beautiful. The other recommendation about making sure you can accommodate the knife in your block is spot on, this is a big knife
