Customer Review: Screwdriver, bottle opener extensions not needed, make them harder to use as scissors

Brief assessment
The two handle extensions - screwdriver and bottle opener - add very little utility to the scissors and they interfere with the ease and efficiency of a scissors' main use which is cutting things.
After having these for about half a year I decided that I would prefer a traditional scissors design and I would avoid purchasing this design in the future.
Extended discussion
One of these (different color) came with a Chicago Cutlery set. While the rest of the set is great, I have some SERIOUS issues with the scissors.
But, first, let me mention the good: they work quite well if handled carefully. I use them on light tasks such as cutting the plastic wrapping around Bologna packages and, sometimes, for cutting some of the more difficult to tear apart hard plastic that encases certain small items. They cut well.
Now, for the bad: the design is terrible. I understand the urge to differenciate one's product from everyone else's but...
- A screw driver attachment? It comes at the end of one of the handles and it serves no good purpose. First of all, it's only a 'flat' screwdriver so, if you need to handle a Phillips head you are out of luck. As for the flat-only extension, it's so big, it's probably too big for most screws. And, if you try to apply any torque by using the other handle for leverage you are likely to break or damage the scissors.
- A bottle opener? I understand that some kitchen enthusiasts may be beer drinkers but, seriously, do we really want to encourage drinking while cutting? And who would feel like reaching for the scissors when a beer bottle needs to be opened?
Both of these enhancements add features that most of us would not expect or demand in a pair of kitchen scissors. They would be harmless and probably ignored if they didn't actually interfere with the way one would use the scissors. More than once, while cutting something, I found my pinky right between the screwdriver and the bottle opener extensions and, had I been done the cutting after a couple of beers, I could have ended up with a crushed pinky bone.
In addition, the 2 blades sometimes separate while cutting. This is supposed to be a feature meant to facilitate cleaning but I would prefer scissors that can hold themselves together. They also tend to rust. After a few months of use, rust spots became visible.
I can't recommend these and I have replaced these scissors with an older, traditional pair in my Chicago Cutlery set.
