We bought two of these. It was easy to cut them down to just the right size of our cupboard width. You can just slide the black end off, cut, then put the black end on again. They were easy to hang and are holding all our knives beautifully.Customer Review: Dangerous Piece of Junk

It has a strong enough magnet but the mechanism by which it is attached to the wall is of a sloppy and feeble design. There is a significant risk of the strip falling off which could not only damage expensive knives but cause severe injury.Customer Review: Why didn't I get one sooner?

I really like the convenience of this item, as well as how it looks on the wall. I am able to store 2 large knives, 4 to 5 smaller knives and my kitchen scissors. I have put my knife block away in a cabinet, I probably won't use it anymore!
