I purchased this product from Amazon because the stores near me only carry extremely ugly colors. The reviews seemed good, but after putting it up, it is not very stable. As you pull a knife off the wall the whole thing tilts and almost comes off completely. You have to hold the thing up against the wall as you strategically pull and twist the knife off of it. Maybe we didn't install it properly, but who knows considering it didn't come with any instructions whatsoever.Customer Review: Short, but powerful.

This wasn't as long as I'd hoped (next time I'll pull a ruler out and compare specs), but it is very effective at holding onto my knives securely. Its attraction was strong enough I mounted it on a cabinet door. Even slamming it does not risk dropping a knife, which I tested several times over. If you want to be certain you won't see any nicked floors or impaled toes, this seems to be a good candidate.Customer Review: Stong Enough to Hold a Cleaver

-Actual measurement of the magnetic strip is just a little bit more than 13 inches. You may wish it is 6 inches longer. It can comfortably hold around 5 knives side by side
-I have this only for 3 months. Will it rust? It did not say it is stainless steel.

...That is the best thing I can say about this. The magnetic strips are strong and secure. I installed it above my kitchen sink and there is absolutely no fear that they will fall.
But boy is it ugly. It is just a metal bar sitting above my sink. I suppose if I had a really nice set of knives it wouldn't matter. It does the job and for the price it can't be beat.

I bought this as a Christmas present for someone, and after receiving it very promptly, and seeing how it looks on a kitchen wall, I now want one for myself! If you are like me and have limited drawer space, or just don't like reaching into a drawer that has sharp knives in it, then this is a good product for you. It looks very sleek and stylish and was a very good value.
